Due to internal growth within our Work Health & Safety Department, we are now seeking an experienced Injury & Wellbeing Officer to join the team based at our manufacturing facility in Bundaberg.

About the Role
This is a newly created position at Superior Pak and provides an opportunity to make this role your own and make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
Duties will include:
- Ensuring the activities associated with the successful injury management of both work-related and non-work-related injuries/illnesses (including early intervention strategies) are coordinated & implemented in a timely manner to optimise a recovery at work
- Communicating with all treatment providers including treating doctors and allied health professionals to facilitate recovery and return to work
- Notifying, reporting and triaging all incidents resulting in injury/illness to the relevant insurer
- Working with internal stakeholders to collect and collate all documentation required for the insurer, regulator and third-party representation.
- Engaging in regular communication with employees, managers, supervisors, insurer and rehabilitation provider (external) in relation to the status of open claims, including the facilitation of regular claims and file reviews to assist with progressing claims to finalisation
- Contributing to the development and delivery of wellbeing and injury prevention initiatives
- Administrative duties as required to support the National WH&S team

About You
- Current Return-To-Work Coordinator accreditation
- Current driver's licence
- Demonstrated experience in workers compensation claims administration, workplace rehabilitation systems, processes and case management
- Demonstrated experience with recovery at work planning and coordination
- Demonstrated experience with workers compensation claims management including claims lodgement, developing a claims and portfolio strategy
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS and Workers Compensation legislation
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating wellbeing initiatives
- Strong relationship management skills
- A high level of emotional intelligence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and/or Certificate IV in WH&S
