As an Insight Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making within the organisation and support the Insight and Analytics Manager through the provision of commercial insights.
This is a 12-month contract position covering maternity leave with an immediate start.
- Ensuring sound commercial governance including monthly PE wholesale risk reporting, and working with the PE Wholesale team to facilitate bilateral & renewable certificate quotes and purchases
- WEM Retail compliance reporting as required from to time
- Understanding, analysing and forecasting key commercial drivers of the PE business
- Support the quarterly budgeting process with bottom-up gross margin forecasting for the PE business
- Provide support to the Pricing & Performance Analyst with bespoke retail pricing
- Advanced ability to think independently, and diplomatically challenge assumptions
- Effectively manage multiple work requests concurrently, self-manage your workload and manage expectations with stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. Finance, Business, Commerce desirable
- Experience and/or working knowledge of the WEM, SWISS, ERA and ATCO (Highly desirable)
- Experience with Salesforce, SQL, Gentrack Velocity desirable (Highly desirable)
- Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and data visualization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Prior experience in the energy sector or utilities industry is a plus
