We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Instructional Designer. The role is part time (30 hours per week) and for a period of six months with the possibility of extension.

The Instructional Designer role is responsible for creating engaging learning content and activities for Australian pharmacists. In consultation and collaboration with subject matter experts you will be developing courses that meet the educational objectives of our target audiences.
To succeed in this role you will have highly developed computer skills and experience in instructional design, education and training and/or tertiary qualifications in e-learning technology or instructional design.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop a variety of high quality, engaging materials for digital delivery using contemporary e-learning and multimedia software suites and platforms based on information provided by subject matter experts.
- Redesign content for online presentation that is conducive to e-learning activities while adhering to the education goals of the organisation and that embed end user learning requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within the instructional design team to offer support to various relevant teams across the organisation, ensuring the timely and budget delivery of shared tasks and projects.
- Recommend changes to existing programs, including technology or instructional methods, to better adhere to compliance and delivery options for the course.
- Develop resources and provide training to support the effective use of e-learning.
- Contribute to the development of processes and policies relating to design, development, implementation, and handover within the team.
- Conduct usability and quality assurance testing and evaluate eLearning resources against appropriate standards and guidelines, visual style guides, copyright and intellectual property requirements.
- Maintain quality assurance processes and protect the intellectual property in e-learning materials developed for the PSA.
- Analyse and apply trends and best practice in learning techniques and instructional design and make recommendations about when to adopt certain systems to continue to offer the best learning experience possible.

- Highly developed computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office 365.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional design, education and training and/or tertiary qualifications in e-learning technology or instructional design.
- Expertise in crafting engaging interactive multimedia instructional content using Articulate.
- Strong visual design skills with an ability to storyboard and create effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts. We use Adobe Creative Cloud but are open to other software packages which you may have experience with.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (we use Moodle) and a deep understanding of SCORM.
- High level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain networks, contacts and relate to stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Have a basic understanding of HTML & CSS as we sometimes need to make small code amends.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work in a team environment within specified timeframes.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude to work combined with a positive approach to problem-solving in a fast paced, high-energy environment.

- Knowledge of Salesforce in a work environment.
- Previously worked in an agile workflow environment.
