Our client is currently in search of a Lawyer to become a valuable member of their dynamic Statutory Insurance team located in Melbourne. In this role, you will be engaged in a diverse array of intriguing and intricate cases involving Statutory Compensation and Common Law Damages.We are seeking an ambitious individual with a genuine passion for insurance law and a strong desire to advance their career within a prominent national law firm. This role will see you working on complex and interesting matters for clients such as WorkSafe, TAC and National Self Insurers. You will get hands on learning for experience partners which will see your career grow tenfold.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have at least 2-4 years PAE in Statutory Insurance. To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Have some experience in Statutory Compensation and Common law damages matters;
- Draft legal documents, advices and negotiations;
- Demonstrate a client focussed approach with superior organisational skills as the work is deadline sensitive;
- With appropriate mentoring and supervision have the ability to work relatively autonomously and handle files and matters independently;
- Have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills;
- Litigation experience will be highly regarded.
