Intensive Family Preservation Case Manager
- Full Time max-term contract until September 2024

- This role is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010- Level 5

Join us in this dynamic role where you'll provide intensive support to families, focusing on addressing parental vulnerabilities to create a nurturing and secure environment for children.
Working collaboratively with families, the NSW Department of Community Justice, and non-government service providers, as we strive to preserve family structures and enhance their functionality while safeguarding children from harm.

The Essentials
- Degree qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 2 years child protection case management experience
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of working with parents and children with complex needs
- Knowledge of child behaviour and development using a trauma informed approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with families using a strength-based approach
- Ability to appropriately support families from diverse cultures
- Understanding of referral and resource options eg; Counselling, Housing, NDIS
- Understanding of the child protection framework within NSW and mandatory reporter obligations
- Highly developed skills in assessment, case plan writing, report writing
- Ability to prioritise competing demands while working independently
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, first aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
