Job Description
The key responsibilities for this role would require you to:
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to align financial strategies with overall commercial objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize pricing, product/service offerings, and market positioning.
- Develop and monitor budgets for commercial activities. Implement cost control measures and work with operational teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.
- Assess and manage financial risks associated with commercial activities. This may involve evaluating market risks, credit risks, and other factors that could impact the financial health of the business.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization's liquidity needs are met. Work with treasury functions to optimize cash flow and make recommendations for financing or investment decisions.
- Develop financial models to support business decision-making. This may include scenario analysis, investment appraisals, and other modeling to assess the financial implications of various business strategies.
- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to non-finance stakeholders. Collaborate with different departments to ensure a common understanding of financial goals and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any financial compliance issues.
The ideal candidate will need to:
Have experience working in Transport or Freight
At least 3 years of experience as a Commercial Finance Manager
