We are looking for a qualified Interior Designer with a passion for furniture, art and object curation to join our Design Team in May 2024. You will play an integral role in the exceptional design output for our customers within a fast-growing interior design and decoration studio.

Your responsibilities
Deliver exceptional Interior Design consultation whilst selling creative furnishings solutions to potential and existing clients over the phone, via email and in-person where required and as directed.
- Participate in exceptional interior design consultation whilst selling creative furniture, object and art curation solutions to potential and existing clients over the phone, via email or in person where required and as directed alongside the senior designer
- Produce varied and innovative design approaches according to clients' tastes, showcasing your understanding of a wide breadth of Interior Design styles
- Ensure project success by communicating with the senior designer and clients to gain an understanding of their lifestyle, design requirements, and budget breakdown to ensure the Design Team makes selections to suit the client’s wants and needs best
- Create and present suggested design presentations inclusive of joinery design and finishes
- Developing schedules outlining selections
- Communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth procurement process
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the design studio, including project management, budgeting, and client relations
Ongoing
- Ensure strong knowledge of supplier product offerings is maintained to find and specify the most suitable products on the market
- Work collaboratively with fellow Design Team members to ensure the best outcome for all projects (brainstorming is encouraged!)
- Utilise a soft, solution-based method of selling in designs and concepts with clients throughout each project journey, always with ultimate business goals in mind
- Adapt to new processes, programs or business objectives flexibly and positively as the business evolves in an agile environment
- Take the initiative to suggest new ways of doing things where applicable
- Participate in the creation of social media and digital content with the team
- Provide designer input and perspectives in other business aspects where required
As our next Interior Designer?
- Have at least 2 years of relevant local industry experience: A background in a professional interior decoration or design studio is desirable
- Possess an understanding of trends and primary interior design styles/history: Confidently curate furniture, object and art curation solutions according to various style directions
- Have an understanding of functional residential spatial planning: You recognise the importance and have the know-how to create layouts that are practical for residential living environments
- Are a confidant and communicator: You are able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with various stakeholders with the intention of creating an outcome that is aligned with both the client and business needs
- Are detail-focused: You’re highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail
- Are genuinely passionate about design: You love everything design/interiors and have a long-term plan of developing a career in this industry
- Are technically proficient: You have experience with a variety of design software and can confidently adopt new technologies when required
- Are an influential people person: You possess sales skills with high standards of customer service
- Are adaptive: You embrace change and thrive in continually adapting environments
- Are a good cultural fit: You are passionate about contributing to our down-to-earth and positive culture as shown through your work ethic and collaboration with others
