About the opportunity

• Permanent, part-time, 4 days a week (0.8 FTE)

• Hybrid and flexible work environment with brand new office facilities in Collingwood

• $53.1888 per hour + super + NFP salary packaging (tax savings!)

Our Partnerships & Engagement Team are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist join them.

What you'll be doing

Launch Housing is on the hunt for an Internal Communications Specialist, someone who can use their relationship building, copywriting and organising superpowers to help us end homelessness in Melbourne.

Our ideal unicorn is experienced with all forms of internal comms, has brilliant writing skills, is genuinely curious about all aspects of our work, knows how to trigger the right conversations at the right time and has a passion for staff engagement and organisational storytelling to bring people together.  They'll have the ability to think outside the square when it comes to event management (we have an all-staff day once a year), and in finding new ways for teams to connect. 

The right person is happy working with all levels of leadership within an organisation, is appreciative that everyone is super busy, but stubborn enough to know that unless we’re all sharing and talking, we’ll end up in a messy heap. 

We need you!  

You will:

• Lead strategic Internal Communications advice and planning across activities of Launch Housing, including change management. 

• Work with senior leadership of the organisation to create communications strategies and materials in support of internal projects. 

• Articulate and deliver on an internal communication strategy that creates a rhythm of key touchpoints through the year to build our internal comms capacity.

• Manage a variety of comms platforms, channels, and activities, from regular CEO updates to our SharePoint intranet. 

• Manage the annual Launch Housing ‘all-staff day’

What we're looking for (key selection criteria):

• Experience in Internal Communications preferably in a mid-size complex organisation and/or within the community services sector.

• Event management experience.

• Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce quality materials, sometimes working to tight deadlines, under pressure.

• A thorough understanding of writing/generating content for digital platforms., ideally SharePoint and Yammer (Viva Exchange).

• Experience working with and coaching a wide range of internal stakeholders at all levels in the business.

• Tertiary qualification in Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
