Your Role:
As an International Support Officer, you will work within the International Student Programs team to support the application process for overseas students who want to study at a Queensland state school. Overseas students are provided with the support and encouragement they need to realise their potential in a welcoming, inclusive and accessible learning environment.
The position reports to a team leader and is located in Brisbane. You will be part of a large and diverse work team.
Responsibilities include:
- Process applications from overseas students in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide accurate data entry, data collection and analysis.
- Access and operate administrative and technical databases, process information and prepare associated reports.
- Administer the flow of correspondence, including to external stakeholders.
- Issue accurate and timely invoices for the various programs offered.
- Maintain financial records management systems, including reconciling invoices.
To be successful in this role, you would need:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Flexibility to work across a number of priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 (Office), including Excel.
- Great time management skills.
- A brief resume (maximum two pages) including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); and
- A maximum one-page written response outlining your experience, skills and why you would be suitable for the role, using the Competencies section of the role description provided as a guide.
