Interpreter Services at Metro South Health are looking for a Coordinator to join their team for a temporary period of 10 months. Coordinate and conduct staff training and information sessions regarding access and use of Interpreter Services including how to use the Interpreter Management System (IMS).

About the Role
- In collaboration with the Interpreter Services Manager, coordinate all training and development requests from staff within the unit and ensure appropriate cover, skill mix, and documentation is complete.
- Resolving day to day operational issues within the team by identifying, managing, and planning contingencies.
- Coordinate and conduct staff training and information sessions regarding access and use of Interpreter Services including how to use the Interpreter Management System (IMS)
- Coordinate, book, confirm and verify qualified interpreters for limited English-speaking clients and clients who are deaf or hearing impaired, in order to meet their cultural and clinical needs.
- Respond to customer enquiries and problem-solve issues relating to the provision of language services (including sign language) and determine if customers' requests can be met.
- Contribute to the planning, design, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of processes and systems required to deliver a regional interpreter service.
