About the role
The Project Specialist will manage the development and regular updates of an overarching Project Plan and associated reporting tools. They will collaborate with initiative leads to engage stakeholders across the business, ensuring agreed deliverables are achieved on-time and on-budget. This is a temporary, 12-month opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and maintain project management plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on project delivery and financial performance.
- Identify and report ongoing inefficiencies, supporting quality improvement initiatives.
- Schedule "end-to-end" delivery of project deliverables and manage interdependencies.
- Collaborate with business units to develop, maintain, and report progress against strategic goals.
- Provide long-term program visibility and prepare communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the development, implementation, and promotion of performance indicators.
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships to support effective management and commercial decisions.
About You
- Professional experience in a similar role within a large organization.
- Knowledge of project management processes, methodologies, and principles.
- Understanding of commercial considerations and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring projects and programs.
- Ability to assess delivery risks and propose effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan, monitor, and assess workplace practices to ensure goals are achieved.
- Proficiency in computer operations and business systems.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma in Program Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
