INVENTORY LEAD
This opportunity offers:
Ongoing employment
Full time role & 35 hour working week
Attractive annual salary $122,491 - $134,981 p.a. plus 11% superannuation
Location: Glendenning, NSW RFS State Warehouse (hybrid/flexible working arrangements considered)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join our fast paced Logistics Team, comprising of 17+ personnel who work closely with members across NSW and provide much needed supplies and resources to support our Volunteer Members during fire and other emergencies.
During major emergencies, there are opportunities to support the agency in other roles including on the Major Incident Logistics desk.
Ideal Candidate
As our ideal candidate, you'll have analytical thinking to identify trends, think critically and problem-solve effectively. Familiarity with emergency service operations, protocols, and equipment is also beneficial in this role.
The ideal candidate should be adaptable, flexible, and able to handle stressful situations with resilience focusing on the warehouse and inventory domain. The candidate should have a strong background in managing inventory in both warehouse and across a number of locations.
As a lead position, the candidate should have leadership qualities to oversee and manage on-going, temporary and volunteer team members. The team will be scalable during emergency operations and the holder will need the ability to provide guidance, delegate and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Technological proficiency is a key direction of the business unit as we improve our inventory management software, databases, and other relevant tools. The candidate should be comfortable with technology and willing to adapt to new systems.
These attributes, combined with relevant experience in inventory management and a strong understanding of emergency service operations, would make an individual well-suited for this role.
