As part of this growth strategy, they are seeking a versatile and highly capable Inventory Planner to join their proactive Melbourne based team.
A planning superstar your will love the challenge involved with this role. Your responsibilities will be varied and will include:
- All aspects of the coordinating of stock from international suppliers, including stock planning, forecasting and monitoring delivery schedules
- Assist the sales and marketing departments during product launches
- Maintaining effective stock levels to ensure customer orders are filled within prescribed delivery times and organising inter-state transfers accordingly
- Assisting warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records, and manage obsolete stock
- Maintaining, reviewing and updating stocking strategies across the branch network in line with service levels and product life cycles
- Maintaining effective communication between warehouse, customer serves and sales teams
- Generating periodic reports through SAP to monitor KPI performance with respect to stock accuracy and availability
- Provide assistance to the Operations Manager as required.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have formal qualifications in a Supply Chain discipline or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of MRP, Inventory Control and ERP systems
- Have a superior level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Be customer focussed and respond well to an energized team environment
- Be computer literate with advanced level skills in Excel
- Be fully proficient in the use of SAP or similar in an inventory control function
- Thrive in a dynamic and demanding role and be seeking a role "out of the ordinary"!
