A fantastic opportunity at nbn, as a IT & Outsourcing Procurement Manager reporting to the Executive Manager IT & Outsourcing Procurement
A bit about your role
The Procurement function is a trusted business advisor that enables nbn to secure externally sourced goods and services that provide sustainable value. Accordingly, the Procurement function needs a strong customer focus, a demonstrated strength in category management, and a drive to deliver commercial and sustainable value.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies; planning and conducting negotiations with IT & Outsourced Services suppliers; managing end to end sourcing events; providing detailed and commercially astute advice to and influencing a range of business stakeholders from (predominantly) IT, Operations and Network Engineering, Legal, Security and Finance.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will have the ability to independently manage, influence and persuade both internal and external stakeholders through a skilful mix of communication, diplomacy and advocacy as well as able to lead and manage sourcing activities, contract development and execution as well as stakeholder interactions.
Excellent communication and project management skills are required as are well developed negotiation skills.
If this sounds like the role for you, it is likely you will be degree educated with 8-10 year experience in a similar role.
