This leadership position requires a balance of strong customer service skills and excellent technical skills in a Microsoft dominant environment.
The role is responsible for managing and supporting the ICT Service Delivery team. The role will lead the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused information technology support & assist in improving practices in accordance with relevant protocols, ensuring the efficient operation of all ICT infrastructure systems and services.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent industry certification and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar ICT Team Leader role, preferably in a Microsoft dominant environment.
- Proven understanding and utilisation of ICT Management Tools to deliver continuous improvement and set up an ICT infrastructure Service Management platform.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring delivery of infrastructure service functions including the development of SLAs and a service catalogue; incident management; change management; and request management.
- Demonstrated experience in providing first and second level technical support, incident management, and customer service.
- Experience with and an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft ECO systems, LAN/WAN network environments, firewalls, monitoring tools, encryption/cyber security systems and wireless systems.
- Proficiency in technologies: Windows 10/11 Entra ID (Azure AD) as part of the Microsoft 365 Business premium offering, MS Teams, printer technologies, Microsoft 365ICT cyber security systems that covers endpoint devices including BYOD, and HP network devices and FortiGate firewalls.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to lead team members and drive resolution to problems in a structured manner, with the team delivering effective outcomes.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to work within a team and ability to communicate technological solutions and related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various levels.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and negotiate with a range of stakeholders, vendors and business application owners, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly established and maintained.
- High-level problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic, with the ability to multitask and work independently.
- Strong analytical, observation and organisational skills.
- Current ’C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Experience in project management methodologies relevant to ICT infrastructure service delivery projects.
- Previous experience in the Local Government or similar sector to provide context-specific knowledge and understanding of a government setting with regulatory and compliance requirements.
