Your new role
As an IT Contract & Commercial Manager, you will:
- Manage both the upfront procurement activities for IT Contracts, and the ongoing monitoring and compliance activities relating to key IT contracts.
- Conduct Procurement activities focusing on ensuring effective and complaint procurement activities.
- Take a strategic approach to procurement activities to provide the most effective and efficient approach to the market or Government Purchasing Panels.
- Develop and Lead the ITSS team to set procurement and contract targets, monitor performance and continually improve to meet business needs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in IT Contract Management and/ or Procurement role across a variety of process and functions, particularly in the areas of IT supply, license, support and service agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a Procurement and Contract Management function in a corporation or government department.
- Proven complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings.
- A strong understanding and application of the procurement and contract management framework as it applied to the Victorian Government public sector, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in building strong and productive working relationships within teams and with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong influencing skills at senior levels influence acceptance of a new way of working.
