About the Role
Our exciting opportunity is for an enthusiastic and motived individual who enjoys solving real problems every day. This level 1 /2 role will have you working on a huge variety of tasks in Desktop Support as well as networking, and Infrastructure support. You will have the opportunity to own the desktop IT support at our client’s site and really make an impact.
As an IT Support Analyst who possesses the patience and tenacity to complete a variety of different tasks to an exceedingly high standard you will excel in this role.
This position will require regular travel to sites throughout Australia and would suit a highly independent individual who has strong initiative and troubleshooting skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective and efficient telephone and face to face technical support;
- Installing, configuring and maintaining PC and mobile devices;
- Identifying and resolving staff IT issues;
- Maintaining all case/issue history within our helpdesk ticketing system;
- Developing and maintaining relevant documentation and procedures;
- Coordinating IT service requesting and recommend new initiatives;
- Provide weekend out of hours support on a rotational basis
What are we looking for in our candidates?
- At least 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
- A demonstratable passion and enthusiasm for computers and technology;
- Rock solid troubleshooting skills – able to apply logical, methodical, analytical approach to identify and resolve software, hardware and network problems and customer service skills;
- Exceptional communication - Delivered with a positive attitude;
- A team player with the ability to work independently to deliver initiatives on time;
- Good understanding of infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, Exchange, Azure, AWS) and networking (IP Addressing, routing, network topologies);
- Expertise across a board range of technologies including but not limited to Windows Desktop operating systems, MS Office, Microsoft365, SharePoint, Active directory, Linux, User Creation, Group Policy, Firewall, Antivirus and VPNs.
- Experience with hardware setup including computers, mobile devices, printers, switches, routers and 4g modems.
- Degree or Certificate in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Drivers license and your own car necessary
- Willing to undergo a Police Check - cost paid by Unison
