Your task
To build a web-based platform to manage quotes, bookings and jobs requested by the clients. This platform is initially to be used internally, but in the future we're planning to offer some of its functionalities to the general public. The platform must be easy to use and responsive (mobile friendly). Some of the activities required to achieve this goal are:
- Gathering requirements from the users about the way the business and workflow operates
- Build quick prototypes for the stakeholders to test core functionalities
- Build the solution in stages, starting with functionalities that generate immediate and the most value to the company. The idea is to identify weaknesses and strengths quickly along the process ('fail fast' mentality)
- Deploy the solution in the cloud, considering security and privacy standards
The solution must be built using clean code standards, so you or future developers can add further functions easily.
Technical requirements
- Good experience building web-based platforms and deploying them to the cloud (AWS, Google, etc)
- Knowledge of at least one PHP web development framework, ideally Laravel
- Knowledge of a frontend Javascript framework, such as VueJS, to build the user interface
- Knowledge of Mysql and ability to abstract business entities into a normalised database schema
- Familiarity with security and privacy concerns
- Good communication, for the role requires meeting with the stakeholders and users and understanding their requirements clearly
