Bank of China, Sydney is the oldest operating Chinese bank in Australia and is currently seeking an IT Engineer (System) who has strong application systems management skills and database analyse knowledge to join Bank of China Sydney branch.
This is a Two Year Maximum Term contract role. To be successful in this role you need to have the below qualifications and skills:
- At least 3 years DevOps or application system support experience (Working experience in Database administration or banking industry is preferred)
- Strong ability to code and troubleshoot SQL coding S scripts, power shell scripts, ftp scripts, etc.
- Solid skills to maintain and troubleshoot Application Systems and ETL
- Database knowledge in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, mySQL, SSIS, etc.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Web Server, SFTP Server, Power BI, etc.
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Analysis or related
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Good technical documents writing skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain and manage the application systems of the bank
- Support existing ETLs and reporting solutions. Work with the development team to design, implement and maintain new ETLs and Automatic batch processing programs
- Provide data query services to business users. Analyze business user’s data query requests, translate business needs into technical specifications, design data query scripts to extract data from relational databases and generate reports based on the business user’s requests (Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI is highly desirable)
- Work with the system management team to support and troubleshoot the SQL and Oracle Databases (Prior experience with Oracle database and data warehousing tools like SSIS is advantageous)
- Communicate with other parties (business users, service providers, internal IT teams, IT teams from Head Office, etc.) for Application systems/ETL troubleshooting, root cause analysis, etc.
- Assist project managers to conduct related IT projects
- Write and regularly review IT documents (e.g. IT operations menus, procedures.)
- Conduct the General office duties assigned by functional head and department head.
