A bit about the role
The Graduate Support Officer role sits within the organisations helpdesk function and is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deep insight into the role of information technology in the workplace.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of desktop and mobile hardware and software, assisting with the asset records and provide support of a range of systems and technologies.
Having recently graduated with an IT related qualification, you will have strong communication and customer service skills and enjoy using your strong problem solving and analytical skills. With a desire to learn and grow, you will have confidence in collaborating at all levels within the business and across the Technology department.
What you will deliver
· Provide quality end user support on a range of systems and technologies
· Assist with the maintenance of the organisation’s desktop and mobile hardware, software and associated peripherals
· Install, test and implement hardware and software upgrades as directed
· Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Service Desk documentation, policies and procedures
· Assist with the recording and maintenance of IT asset information
· Support the department with identification and implementation of new IT solutions
· Provide recommendations to achieve continuous improvement on service desk systems and processes
What you will bring
· An appropriate tertiary Degree qualification or industry certification
· Specialist Skills and Knowledge (desirable)
· Strong user support skill
· Good knowledge of PC and peripheral hardware
· Experience/ knowledge with Microsoft Windows end user computing environments, Microsoft 365 and general software and applications
· Knowledge of general networking concepts
· Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
· Developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
· Experience working in a customer service setting
· A positive, curious and flexible mind
