The Role
The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Director - Technology, the broader Technology team and other stakeholders to effectively plan and manage technology projects end to end.
The upcoming projects that you'll be initially responsible for leading are as follows:
- Office move - facilitating the IT relocation - Coordinate / Plan / Move
- Migrate the firm from FileSite to iManage
- Transitioning technology solutions to the cloud
These are a few of the many projects that you will be responsible for delivering and you will need to be comfortable working on a number of IT projects concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technology projects from start to finish, aligning objectives with internal stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure efficient resource utilisation and adherence to project budgets, schedules, and scopes.
- Manage project risks, security, and contingency plans.
- Maintain alignment with firm strategy and technology roadmap.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Implement change management controls and collaborate on project opportunities.
Skills Required
- Previous experience of managing IT projects in a law firm.
- Two years' experience in IT project management delivering projects end to end.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Strong change management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Proficient in at least one project management tool
- Project management qualification (PMP, Prince2)
