AddressOur well known, Melbourne based client are seeking an IT Support Consultant to join their team on a 6 month contract.
You will play a crucial role in providing second-level floor support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across our manufacturing sites and head offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd level floor support for IT, acting as the first point of contact for triaging issues and delivering user training
- Conduct audits to support decision making
- Ensure compliance with IT standards and practices
- Offer mobile phone support and manage reporting for cost tracking and optimization
- Collaborate with vendors to track and procure new equipment, oversee repairs, and schedule maintenance
- Manage IT invoicing and handle purchase requisitions to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
- Monitor stock levels for essential hardware such as monitors, PCs, and printers
- Support PC refreshes and assist with other IT activities as required by the organization
- Generate periodic and ad hoc reports, maintaining and reporting on configuration management databases to meet central requests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and basic networking concepts
- Experience with mobile phone support and familiarity withreporting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on user training and support
- Relevant experience in IT support or a related field
- Familiarity with IT procurement processes and vendor management
- Experience in IT invoicing and financial management
- Ability to perform hardware stock monitoring and maintenance
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Approachable and patient, with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
