Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Level 1/2 Support Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support to our clients both remotely and on-site, ensuring their IT infrastructure runs smoothly. This is a full-time role based in our Cairns office, working 37.6 hours per week. Please note that this role is not suitable for remote work. The position is perfect for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys solving problems and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to clients via phone, email, and on-site visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on client systems.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new equipment and software, including Microsoft 365.
- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and other team members to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure timely follow-up and closure of support tickets.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions.
Requirements
- IT-related degree from a university or a minimum of 2 years of Level 1 experience in a technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current QLD Driver's license.
- Permanent rights to work in Australia.
- Please note that this role is not suitable for remote work; you must be available to work full-time from our head office in Cairns, QLD.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) are a plus.
