Viva Leisure one of Australia’s leading fitness companies are looking for a new IT Field Support and Fit-outs Technician team member to join the team on a full-time arrangement in Canberra! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the teams of Viva Leisure Australia-wide with onsite IT Field Support. Additionally, supporting the IT Project Manager with new site Fit Outs, refurbishments, and small projects.
This role requires exceptional technical knowledge, positive perception management and time management skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to effectively resolve issues, whether that be by phone, in person or via email.
As a part of the central services team, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills, experience, and knowledge all while working with custom systems built in-house. This role has growth potential and will develop with the business, this role is an experience and an opportunity.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The essential skills & qualifications we are looking for are:
- Experience completing on-site work orders across different locations.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar technical IT role.
- Experience on construction sites or similar.
- A clear and balanced approach to problem-solving.
- Strong and effective time management ability.
- Demonstrated communication skills through customer service or similar roles.
- Open cabling or similar – desirable but not essential.
- Asbestos awareness (would be willing to acquire if not holding already).
- Elevated Work Platforms (Yellow Card) - desirable but not essential.
- Drivers Licence.
- White Card (would be willing to acquire if not holding already).
- First aid (would be willing to acquire if not holding already).
- CPR (would be willing to acquire if not holding already).
- Working with Vulnerable people check (If not currently holding would be willing to acquire).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Support:
- Receive, fault find and solve in club IT issues including prioritising and liaising updates to the in-club staff which can include:
- Security and alarm faults including access control.
- PC hardware and software support.
- General networking support and configuration.
- Audio Visual Fault finding, Cabling, installation and repair.
- Project/Fit Outs:
- Receive allocated new clubs and projects from the project manager.
- Attend sites for fit-outs and do reports on technical plans.
- Apply final “eyes “and review the club's IT Plan.
- Receive, fault find and solve in club IT issues including prioritising and liaising updates to the in-club staff which can include:
