It System Analyst (Planner)

Length of Contract: 1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025 + extension options up to 30 June 2028 

Clearance Required: Baseline

Location: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne (Box Hill), Penrith

Note* Travel may be required on an ad-hoc basis to attend associated workshops and meetings. All travel must be pre-approved in writing approval before being undertaken.

Role Overview: 

The IT Systems Analyst (Planning) works in the Product Pipeline Group and engages with business areas, projects and programs of work. Analysts assist in feature preparation and capacity planning.

Services and Responsibilities

• Engaging with all projects / program of works for feature preparation
• Planning and prioritising of upcoming work for delivery in future phases
• Capacity planning and forecasting
• Developing resource profiles and costings for programs & delivery areas
• Supporting delivery when there are issues with features
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to analyse functional and non-functional requirements transforming them into work items for scrum teams
• Providing advice on issues and risks that affect the development of applications, tools, and processes.

Skillsets

• At least 5 years’ experience as an IT Systems Analyst or equivalent skillset
• Experience planning and prioritising delivery of program/project phases
• Experience resourcing and costing project phases
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience
• Experience working in multi-disciplined team geographically dispersed.

Experience delivering these services within a Commonwealth Government environment would be welcome
