Your Day-To-Day:
Infrastructure Management:
- Implements, maintains and supports planning of Finance One’s internal and Azure cloud environments to ensure business objectives are met
- Ensures that cloud infrastructure is flexible and optimised, both technically and in terms of cost, to support core platform needs
- Designs, manages and optimises Finance One’s network infrastructure, ensuring it remains fast, secure, and reliable
- Supports procurement, installation, and maintenance of all technology hardware and software, including moves, changes and migrations
IT Support Management, Incident Management and Business Continuity:
- Supports and improves Finance One’s IT Support framework and resources to ensure timely and effective company-wide Support services
- Delivers guidance and support for IT Support team members
- Provides level 2 support within Finance One’s ITSM framework; identifies and escalates issues to level 3 where required
Data Management and Governance:
- Supports data storage, management, security and integrity across the company, implementing controls to improve handling, utility, and organisational performance
- Manages the prevention of data loss, ensuring that important data is protected with regular backups and data protection technologies
Security & Risk Management:
- Supports and evolves Finance One’s Cyber Security and Information Security programs to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of all systems
- Supports security incident & event analysis and remediation to identify root cause and protections
- Implements or improves physical, network and software systems and processes that provide controls for security obligations and standards
- Supports and improves Finance One’s Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Assists with technology risk assessments on third-party suppliers and ensures remediation of issues
Applications Management:
- Provisions, configures, and supports performance and availability of applications that meet business, user, and regulatory requirements across all domains, including productivity, communication, social, enterprise and business process
- Identifies best-value purchase options and cost-savings
- Tracks uptime of critical business applications, relays outage information to staff and engages with vendors to manage SLAs
ABOUT YOU:
Our ideal candidate will possess the below:
- Proven experience as a previous system administrator, network administrator, or similar role with hands on experience building and setting up IT infrastructure

- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create shell scripts in PowerShell, BASH environments
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) & intellectually curious!
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA))
