So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic person who share our values - Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, including input into safety related strategy and the implementation and delivery of projects to ensure legal and company compliance and improve the safety performance across our complex.
About the Role
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety strategies, systems, and initiatives
- Engage with operational leaders to drive safety improvement
- Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and deliver safety programs
- Support the site leadership drive a positive culture through engagement and communication
- Utilise data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.
- Develop and coordinate site assurance program
- Maintenance of the safety management system
- Provide technical advice regarding risk management framework at HVO
Roster and Location
- Monday to Friday professional roster
- Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)
About You
- Qualifications in Work, Health and Safety
- Auditing qualification with demonstrated experience
- Minimum 3 years working in a similar role
- High level of computer literacy
- A positive disposition with the ability to influence and inspire others
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads, projects and conflicting priorities to achieve competing deadlines
- Holds self and others to account
- Authentic safety professional with a passion for results
- Compelling communicator with the courage to challenge the status quo
