We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our internal IT Department. Based in Malaga, this is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining and optimising our mission critical business systems.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure by monitoring system performance, configuration maintenance and repair to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance on mission critical systems.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
- Perform troubleshooting / problem solving as required.
- Implement policies and process for maintaining network security and educate users on security best practices.
- Implement security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats.
- Maintain and manage user’s accounts and systems.
- Provide support and assistance to end users.
- Collaborate with IT team members to plan and implement IT Projects.
- Maintain documentation and records of IT assets and configuration.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is desirable or relevant industry certification (Cisco, AWS, CompTIA, Fortinet etc.)
- Extensive experience > 5 years working in a network and/or system administration or similar role
- Server Operating Systems (Microsoft server & Ubuntu/Debian Linux)
- Microsoft Active Directory (2016 and up)
- Microsoft Terminal Services
- Windows Server Update Services
- Certificate Authorities (Internal and Public)
- Microsoft Exchange Online in Hybrid configuration
- RMDBS Databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/Maria DB)
- AWS VPC, EC2, S3, Route 53 Services
- Microsoft 365
- Container Technologies (Docker)
- Object Oriented Databases (Mongo DB)
- Microsoft Azure/ Entra
- Routing and Switching including VLANs and BGP
- Layer 3 and 7 Firewalls (Juniper, Sophos, Checkpoint and Fortinet)
- IP Telephony services,
- ITIL ticketing system,
- On-Premise &Cloud ERP systems
- VPN Technology (IPSec and OpenVPN)
- Server and Application Monitoring Systems (Zabbix)
Requirements
- Drivers Licence;
- Successful applicants will hold a current police clearance or be able to provide one within one month of commencing employment; and
- The position is open to Australian citizens &/or persons that have a legal, valid right to work in Australia.
