About the job
As a System Engineer you will be a part of a team that has a desire to do things better, to deliver value as efficiently as possible and to become more adaptive to our customer & stakeholder demands. You will have a mindset for innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, network infrastructure, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. Responsibilities:
● Design, implement, and manage network solutions utilizing Cisco technologies.
● Troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Roll out Cisco Meraki Firewall and Switches
● Provide 3rd level technical support and guidance to team members to deliver high quality outcomes - including necessary peer review and technical support
● Perform assigned routine security and operating system patching
● Manage virtualisation technologies, including VMWare and Hyper-V.
● Perform server installations and configurations, ensuring optimal performance.
● Administer Office 365 servers and associated services.
● Oversee Active Directory management for seamless and reliable operations.
● Conduct regular network performance monitoring and implement necessary optimizations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
● Strong proficiency in Cisco technologies.
● Strong experience in Google Workspace and Microsoft AD
● Experience with VMware ESX and proficiency in load balancing solutions. ● Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP
● Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VPN, and other networking protocols. ● Proven experience as a System Engineer in a managed environment.
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
