It Technical Support Internship

An opening exists to join a leading Australian firm consisting of a highly skilled team looking for a intern to have a boost start on their career.

Our Melbourne based client are looking to hire an ambitious IT intern for their open IT Technical Support position.
Your job will be to provide Technical Support to maintain the organization’s computer systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity.
Internship duration: 3 monthsPart-time hours: 30 - 35 hours per week (flexible)Job Type: InternshipContract length: 3 monthsJob Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship, Contract, CasualSupplementary Pay: Basic pay $2000 - $5000 and Performance bonus

Job Duties:
(You will be given training of the following but should have basic knowledge of the same.)

• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
• Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically
• Log bugs and enhancement requests
• Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed
• Create and maintain tips and tricks solutions for online database and web site
• Provide introductory on-line & classroom training for company products
• Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Skills Required:

• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• University degree/ Diploma in Computer Science or a related subject.
• An ability to prioritise work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times and minimal fuss;
• The ability to work collaboratively with a team.
