About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced journalist to join the ABC's Sydney metro newsroom. The role will involve covering daily news and breaking original stories for audiences on digital and broadcast platforms. You will be expected to deliver accurate, original and creative stories for ABC News Online and present live reports on TV or audio as required.

About You

You have significant experience covering breaking news in a busy newsroom environment. You will also have excellent writing and research skills, independent news judgement and experience in story production. A strong working knowledge of current political, social and economic issues is essential.
