Known for its authentic cuisine and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the artistry of Japanese cuisine.The Role:As the Junior Sous Chef, you will help to manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including rosters and stock control, while learning your trade. With a focus on the Raw bar and Hibachi grill, you will demonstrate proficiency in Asian ingredients, wok cooking, and seafood preparation. Additionally, the team around you including your Sous and Head Chef will make your learnings the ultimate priority.Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a CDP or similar, preferably in Japanese cuisine or elevated dining.
- They want to learn to manage kitchen operations, including rosters, stock control, and ordering.
- Preferably having experience in working with Asian ingredients, wok cooking, and grilling techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in high-pressure situations.
