The opportunity:
Reporting to the Group Accountant, the Junior Accountant is responsible for end to end bookkeeping, assisting the Finance team in managing the day to day financial transactions of Ryderwear and Ryderwear Gym and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the group’s accounting systems.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
- Entering/receipting invoices and purchase orders
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Processing staff reimbursements
- Assisting the Group Accountant with the monthly management reporting process
- Assisting the accountant in preparing and process fortnightly payroll
- Ad hoc accounting administration duties as required
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Have an accounting degree or certificate with some practical experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar position
- Application of knowledge of GST
- Strong knowledge and experience using XERO accounting software and Microsoft Excel is highly preferred
- Proficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail
- Positive can-do attitude, proactive work ethic with strong initiative & ownership
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to meet deadlines
- Adaptable and enjoy a dynamic and varied workday
- Honest, empathetic, accountable, respectful, and a transparent team player
- Self-motivated & life-long learner with strong focus on personal growth & self-development
