What you will be involved in:
- Provide a high standard of service to our ever-growing portfolio of clients.
- Managing client relationships.
- Identify and recommend strategies for client’s tax planning.
- Assisting with checking and reviewing work of junior staff.
- Assist with managing workflow, mentoring, and reviewing the work of 2-3 Accountants within your team.
- Work closely with the Directors.
- Exposure to Debtor and Client WIP management.
- Assist with preparing tax advice for complex matters such as deceased estates, re-structures (i.e. mergers/acquisitions), Div7A, Capital Gains Tax, matrimonial, property developers etc.
- Building and managing your own portfolio of clients, as well as interacting with the team.
- Advisory & Management Accounting.
- Preparation of Financials & Tax Returns as required for all entities including Company, Trusts, Partnerships, SMSF’s, Joint Ventures, etc.
What we are looking for:
A person with a great attitude that fits with our forward thinking and dynamic culture.
To be successful for this role you must have:
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience in an Australian CA or CPA firm as a Senior Accountant or Junior Manager, demonstrating you have previously had exposure to the above tasks.
- CA (preferred) or CPA qualified.
- Experience working with large and complex clients along with high level of technical skills.
- Experience with Div7a, small business CGT concessions, CGT re-structure rollovers, mergers and acquisitions, property developers is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- High degree of initiative and a pro-active approach
- The ability to work with minimal direction and be able to take ownership of tasks and clients.
- Experience with Xero/XPM software is desirable.
