Junior Graphic Designer

The Company:

The parent company Gulf Rubber Australia Pty Limited (GRA) deals with the manufacture and distribution of engineered rubber and plastics. Ultralon is a brand under GRA that deals with high performance closed cell foam.

• The role of Junior Graphic Designer is to primarily support the design aspect of our marine foam flooring under the Ultralon brand, playing a key role in the growth and development of this range of products. 
• The role will also support the graphic design requirements for GRA as well as general design support.
• Reporting through to the Lead Designer, the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Customer service, Operations, and at times Customers.

The Role:

• Develop and design unique and bespoke drawings for CNC production for the U-DEK marine flooring product range – www.udek.com.au              
• Work closely with Customers and Lead Designer to understand design requirements, product supply, deliverables, and objectives. 
• Day to day management of projects and social media channels
• Maintain, optimise new and creative growth strategies, including education and brand awareness.
• Work closely with Lead Designer to assist and develop product brochures, social content & EDMs, exhibition requirements and marketing literature as needed. 
• Follow designed management systems and distribute project documentation in line with internal processes.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Experience with AutoCAD (not required but is open to learn)
• Proficient working within the Adobe Suite – particularly Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
• Proficient in Microsoft Word programs such as MS Word, and Excel. 
• Experience, or the ability to learn CNC production software
• Education: Design/Graphic Design - University, Tafe or college related tertiary education – Not a prerequisite, industry experience will be considered. 
• Experience: No specific industry experience required, design and skillset capability paramount.
