Role
An opportunity exists to join our successful Personal Injury practice. Based at our North Lakes office, this role has been created to provide additional support to the two legal directors. It will suit someone with previous experience in Personal Injury. Candidate who are either towards the end of their law studies or a soon to be admitted will also be considered.
In addition to working with the legal directors, there is also an expectation that this role will work with and support senior legal support staff in day to day file management.
Responsibilities will be broad ranging and include:
- Liaising with clients to obtain instructions and information, provide claim updates;
- Liaising with defendants;
- Assisting with day to day file management with a view to running own files;
- Drafting legal documents including pre-court, court and substantive legal correspondence; and
- Conducting legal research.
Skills & Experience
Ideally, the successful candidate will have had prior experience in a similar role and/or previous experience working in Personal Injury law.
They will also need:
- The ability to both work autonomously and part of a team, depending on the task and business demands
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Excellent organisational, analytical and file management skills
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
- To be client service oriented and be able to demonstrate empathy in various situations
- A willingness to learn and take on challenges
- To be proactive and self-motivated
Remuneration will depend on the successful candidate’s level of relevant experience.
