BenefitsTask & Responsibilities Oversee and manage the entire kitchen operations Prepare, cook and serve a variety of dishes from our menu Plan and draft menus and daily specials according to seasonal produce available Ensuring all raw products and prepared dishes are of a high quality and standard Oversee the stock-take procedures and ensure that appropriate food supply orders are made on time Ensure food is stored at appropriate temperatures and by proper methods for preservation and freshness Ensure food allergies and intolerances are accommodated for and properly managed Discuss any food preparation issues that may arise with management as well as kitchen and wait staff Assist in preparing a budget and ensuring that food and labour costs come within that budget Review kitchen sales, and help to develop and implement measures to ensure targets are met Assist in the process of hiring new kitchen staff Train and supervise kitchen staff, including demonstrating specific cooking techniques and provide guidance on cooking procedures Ensure that appropriate hygiene, food safety and OH&S standards are met Liaise directly with customers when required Qualification & Experience Relevant Diploma qualification + 2 years relevant full time work experience.
