Located in the historic heart of Sydney, Le Foote is a European inspired restaurant and wine bar, owned and operated by Swillhouse (The Caterpillar Club, Alberto’s Lounge, Restaurant Hubert, The Baxter Inn and Shady Pines Saloon.)
Le Foote was recently awarded the Restaurant of the Year in the Time Out Sydney Restauarant Award and also received One Chef’s Hat in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide. Le Foote is modelled on the all-day eating and drinking cultures of Barcelona, Amsterdam and Rome, particularly their wine bars, outdoor eateries, and quiet enjoyment of life.
The venue features two bustling bars and a 70-seat courtyard restaurant, which will be centred around a charcoal grill, producing dry aged steaks, beautifully grilled vegetables and some of Australia’s finest seafood.
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef who has previous experience cooking in fine dining venues and who has mastered every section of the kitchen.
The Junior Sous Chef is responsible for managing a small team and for guiding younger chefs to success. The Junior Sous Chef oversees prep shifts, assists with ordering, and is fundamental to the day-to-day running of the entire kitchen operation. In addition to the prerequisite high standard of cooking, time management, and excellent communication skills are expected of those applying for this role.
