Tax Accountant - Junior/Intermediate

Job Description 

In your role, you will work directly with the two Partners, provided with your own portfolio of clients that you will manage and support from the accounting and office admin team. This unique opportunity within a boutique firm will give you experience in all areas of taxation, indirect taxes, superannuation and business services.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements, taxation returns, company, trusts, individual and self-managed super funds. 
• Exposure to a variety of tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a.
• Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Providing clients with business advisory services
• Structuring
• Indirect taxation including, stamp duty and land tax
• Working on family groups with multiple entitles and structures
• Interstate work and cross boarder taxation

We are a small/medium accounting practice in Hurstville. We specialize in full suite of services and accounting for local, Australia-wide and international businesses across a range of industries. 

The role is looking for a Junior ready to transition to an intermediate or an intermediate accountant looking to work closer to home or as part of a true family style business. We have low employee turnover and are looking for the candidate that can grow with us and achieve all their professional goals long term.

Profile
Suitable candidates for this role will ideally have:

• At least 18 months experience working in Business Services or Tax in Australia
• Completed their degree or tertiary education
• Interested in commencing or have commenced the CA Program
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic and pro-active mentality
• A strong desire to work as part of team with long term goals and benefits
• Must have full working rights in Australia
