The Key Account Manager for GWEO will represent all Thales Australia interests across our efforts in the GWEO segment of markets.KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Key Account Manager, you are accountable for:
- Enable and drive key growth opportunities in the GWEO businesses through insights, influence and relationships across the ADF.
- Support the positioning of GWEO offerings to align with the expectations of government, prioritisation of emerging opportunities and assist the realisation of relevant capability in conjunction with the business lines
- Support the resolution of challenges and issues with the GWEO business through critical analysis, options development and working with issue cross-functional specific teams.
- Support developing a strategic narrative and multi-channel influence campaign for the GWEO business, with a particular focus on growth and delivery aspects of the domain.
- Position the brand as a thought leader, credible sectoral voice and prominent position in relevant industry associations, including defence industry in the broad.
- Establish and maintain industry coalitions to partner across the industrial base on specific campaigns.
- Support engagement and relationship management with industry partners, government and civilian customers on issues relating to growth and delivery.
- Provide strategic advice to ELT members on areas of specialisation and support and enable engagement with and for Thales strategic advisory board members.
- Assist in the development of the Thales Australia & NZ strategy from a position of domain expertise and its implementation with respective GBU/BL business strategies and Key Account Managers.
- Previous National Security or ADF service with deep knowledge and experience of GWEO
- A tertiary qualification or formal training in sales and marketing or a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Significant experience as a brand developer.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging relationships for mutual success.
- Advanced strategic and business analysis skills and effective decision making.
- Strong experience working in a multi-national sales environment
