About the role 

We are looking for a Key Account Manager with exceptional planning, communication, relationship building, negotiation & closing skills to join the ANZ Commercial team based in Sydney.

The focus of this dynamic, fast paced role will be to expand current & secure incremental business through the On-Premise channel with a particular focus on state Clubs, Pub & Restaurant groups, state caterers and stadia.

Key responsibilities 

Performing as a key member of the state Leadership team, you’ll enjoy generating support and engagement for our strategies, plans & priorities with key customers as well as providing direction and support for the field team.

In additional you will:

  • Deliver our On-Premise strategy with external & internal customers to drive profitable growth
  • Develop & present winning proposals for new business
  • Generate support and engagement from key customers on our strategies, plans & priorities
  • Manage trade spend / investment
  • Formulate Partnership Agreements with new customers 
  • Have joint responsibility for state BU targets
  • Be able to demonstrate proficiency in contract negotiations and deal closing
  • Develop engagement plans & calendars for current and new business targets
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key On-Premise customers

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an ambitious self-starter who thrives working in a high-paced environment and has solid experience collaborating effectively with key stakeholders at all levels.

In addition you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • 3+ Years’ experience in On Premise, Liquor or FMCG
  • Proven ability to nurture & develop sound commercial relationships to meet sales targets 
  • Willingness & capability to work through challenges & issues to achieve positive outcomes 
  • Demonstrated ability for sound reasoning and turning plans into actuality
  • Developed influencing style with strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of FMCG/Liquor sales, category and insights
  • Strong analytical skillset, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office 
  • Proven ability and expertise in sharing Wine knowledge (WSET qualification will be highly regarded)
