We currently have a vacancy for a Key Account Manager, based at our Unanderra facility. Responsible for maintaining and growing existing Key Accounts, the Key Account Manager at DGL Warehousing and Distribution plays a pivotal role in fostering strong client relationships and driving sales revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the transport team in customer communication and operation tasks
- Incident report and incident close out experience
- Monthly/ Quarterly reporting
- Lead Transport operation efforts, managing customer decision-making effectively.
- Manage Key Accounts, aligning DGL’s with customer requirements.
- Drive sales and revenue growth within Key Accounts.
- Analyse account performance metrics to identify trends and improvements.
- Complete reporting accurately and promptly.
- Align DGL equipment with Key Account business needs.
- Ensure adherence to the DGL customer requirements & process.
- Utilize analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Establish clear communication channels internally and externally.
- Understand customer needs and deliver innovative solutions.
- Provide consistent direction to staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Foster strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet customer performance objectives.
- Maintain enthusiasm, meeting tough targets consistently.
- Listen empathetically, observe behaviour, and build rapport effectively.
- Maintain compliance with all DGL policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Previous sales or customer service experience in an operations role, ideally in industrial supply or related fields in the transport sector
- Track record in meeting sales targets and customer proficiency.
- Alignment with core values of DGL and its customers.
- Demonstrated drive, enthusiasm, and success in managing customers' needs.
- through sales processes, transport management, objection handling, and identifying new opportunities.
- Collaborative mindset, adept at building strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, as well as establishing connections with prospects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
