Kidney Health Australia has an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual to join our team. The Kidney Health Manager is a new role that has been created to help us drive new initiatives and refresh our existing clinical programs. The incumbent will provide leadership across a range of initiatives and programs in the clinical programs space - including early detection of CKD, education, clinical programs and support for people with kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical programs leadership, management, and delivery.
- Provide leadership and clinical expertise for our work in the clinical community, this may include the production of guidelines and evidence-based content and the delivery of programs for health care professionals.
- Manage the day-to-day workflow and outcomes of assigned clinical programs.
- Scope, plan and develop new clinical programs to drive KHA strategy.
- Keep abreast of new evidence and treatment advances in CKD and provide advice on how these might inform the work, messaging and programs of Kidney Health Australia.
Development of clinical content
- Contribute to the development, and review of evidence-based both within Kidney Health Australia’s clinical programs and other content across the organisation as required.
- Contribute to the development of key clinical and research reports and other high impact publications and clinical documents.
- Develop position statements in conjunction with our advisory committees relating to treatments, pharmaceuticals and policy.
Stakeholder engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with a range of clinical and corporate stakeholders to maximise the impact, uptake, and funding of Kidney Health Australia programs and resources.
- Represent Kidney Health Australia at events, on external committees and in meetings with key partner organisations, stakeholders and partners,
- Be a Kidney Health champion, building profile of both Kidney Health Australia and Kidney Health amongst the Australian community.
Business planning and strategy
- Work with the GM to develop strategy for clinical programs and ensure that this aligns with the broader organisational strategic goals.
- Review the impact and effectiveness of clinical programs.
- Scope solutions address identified gaps and barriers in relation to Kidney Health.
- Advise on issues within the health system, clinical advances, and opportunities to drive the detection and management of kidney disease and related conditions.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in medicine, health, nursing, pharmacy or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the management, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based health projects or programs.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of kidney disease and related management, treatment and prevention strategies.
- Good working knowledge of the health care system in Australia and the interlinks between primary and tertiary care,
- Experience working collaboratively with a range of government / non-government organisations, professionals’ groups, volunteers and consumers.

- High level oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively via a range of different media.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network with a diverse range of people.
- Demonstrated high level organisational, time and project management skills.
- Intermediate to high level of computer skills in Microsoft Office and use of other relevant software.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Friendly and outgoing nature with enthusiastic can-do attitude.
- Drive, enthusiasm, and the ability to react quickly to change.
- Values compatible with Kidney Health Australia culture.
- High level consultation, negotiation and influencing skills.

- Location can be Adelaide or Melbourne (other locations may be considered depending on calibre of candidate).

- Flexible workplace - our team works 3 days per week in the office and has the option to work 2 days from home if you choose.
