About the Position
As a Kitchen Manager at WHSmith, you'll need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable multitasking to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.
You will also be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Pre-service kitchen preparation & overseeing the daily production of cabinet food for 2 sites.
- Working as part of a team to prepare all ingredients and menu items & catering orders.
- Maintaining food safety, WHS and HACCAP standards
- Developing costings of new food/menu items.
- Overseeing a team of 1-2 junior team members in the back of house function.
- Handling of daily stock orders including packaging, fresh food, bread orders.
*This is a full time salaried position, located at our Gold Coast University Hospital site.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- At least 2 years' back of house experience.
- Experience managing stock control and costs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team.
- An interest in food and beverage, and an eye for detail!
