Due to an internal relocation, Construction Sciences is looking for a Laboratory Manager to be based out of our Childers branch.

About the Role:
The primary objective of the role will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory to achieve client outcomes while providing supportive leadership to your team. Participating in the delivery of projects will see you leading the team for testing and analysing complex soil samples, ensuring the output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations. You will also be expected to work independently, develop and maintain positive client relationships, and seek out ways to continuously improve the operation of the site.
We are looking for
- Australian / NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident (must have)
- 5+ years as a technician and demonstrated leadership
- An experienced people leader (preferred) with strong technical ability.
- We would also consider a Senior Technician with some experience leading.
- Commercial ability (preferred)
- Experience in NATA signatory approvals
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Standards for Soil and Aggregate Testing & QTMR Methods
- Current drivers’ licence
- Nuclear Density Meter operator's licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Ability to develop and support junior technicians
