Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical ServicesLaboratory Manager to join our unique and growing team. As the Technical ServicesLaboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Technical Services laboratory, managing other Technical Service staff, providing test platform and application support to both internal and external customers, and developing, troubleshooting, and implementing product or method-based solutions for a range of needs.  This position requires a background in laboratory testing, technical expertise, strong self and other leadership skills, and strong customer interaction ability.

Responsibilities:

• Completes self-initiated and assigned activities directed toward significant impact to the business and staff organization. 
• Applies innovative and advanced technical skills to provide support and services to expand opportunities, reduce risk and generate revenue. 
• Recommends and develops solutions for technical and product problems 
• Utilizes knowledge of technical, product and market information and understanding of project scope, expectations, and requirements to contribute to the development of project strategy. 
• Interactives with customers/clients through sales team to better understand relations, external processes, requirements, and applications. 
• Assist in the technical training of sales team.
• Ability to travel up to 30% in support of customers and sales.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in physical science, chemistry, or related fields with 1-3 years work experience in a professional laboratory setting or Bachelor’s Degree in physical science, chemistry, or related fields with 3-5 years work experience in a professional laboratory setting.
• Team leadership experience a plus
• Excellent trouble-shooting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
