The permanent Full-time Microbiology Lab Technician will work with a team as well as independently in the laboratory to undertake routine media preparation, sampling, and testing of food products. The position is based at our Lytton, QLD site.

Daily Tasks:

• Receiving of samples and deliveries to the Laboratory.
• Media preparation and quality control checks
• Ordering/Purchasing of stock for the Laboratory.
• Assist in routine testing and reporting.
• Ensure equipment and workspace is maintained and regularly kept clean.

You will bring to this role:

• Excellent Communication skills: the ability to respectfully engage with internal stakeholders (Lab team, QA, and Operations)
• High work ethic to work in a fast-paced environment
• Tertiary qualification
• Knowledge of GLP/GMP
• Strong collaborative skills: The ability to work with all departments and colleagues of varied backgrounds
• Quality-orientated and customer-focused
• Sound knowledge of aseptic technique
• Experience working in a NATA accredited laboratory beneficial but not essential.
