Laboratory Technician

ARC Laboratory Services is an independent NATA accredited testing laboratory based in Perth, Western Australia. Our purpose designed facility in South Guildford provides testing services to the quarrying, mining, and civil construction industries. We provide a range of specialized testing services with a focus on Aggregate, Rock, Concrete and Petrographic Analysis.

ARC Laboratory Services is seeking a Concrete and Aggregate Technician to join our team based in South Guildford, WA. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Field & Laboratory Testing as required.
• Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager.
• Willingness to mentor trainee technicians.
• Material sampling in the field.
• Perform material testing in the laboratory to AS, International and State Methods.
• Assist with calibration of testing equipment.
• Data Entry & Issuing of reports as required.

Skills & Experience:

• 1-3+ years laboratory experience.
• Previous NATA signatory experience advantageous.
• Previous experience with Geo Tester & proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interpret test and data results.
• Knowledge of AS 1012, AS 1141 and MRWA Specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously.
• Attention to detail.
• Physically Fit with some mechanical aptitude. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate 3/4 in Laboratory Techniques Advantageous.
• Construction White Card
• Driver’s License (C class)
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Forklift License (Desirable but not essential)
