The role:
We are seeking applicants for the position of Laboratory Technician who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers. The successful applicant will be based at Murarrie and will be responsible for ensuring both short term and long term objectives are met.
Your day to day will include but is not limited to:
- Laboratory work on a range of gas/liquid/solid samples, involving chemical and instrumental techniques
- Adhere to manual handling procedures
- Logistics management (equipment and samples)
- Comply with the Safety and Quality policies and programs
- Potential for travel if desired
- Data entry and record keeping
This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry.
What’s needed?
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
- Mature technical knowledge involving a high degree of autonomy, originality and independent judgement
- Experience in a Laboratory applying chemistry and technical knowledge and use of scientific instrumentation
- Knowledge of LIMS/Sorby is desirable
- Self-motivated
- Safety conscious
- Good communication skills
Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
Must live locally in the Brisbane region. NO FIFO.
