Our team has worked tirelessly to formalise our pursuit of a distillery that supports the environment we live in and we are proud to have secured our carbon neutral certification under the Australian Government’s Climate Active Program. This means the activities associated with running Tasmania’s first distillery have no net negative impact on the climate.
About the Role:
LARK is on the hunt for a Venue Manager to lead our two Cellar Doors. Located in Davey St in central Hobart and at our Pontville distillery (30 mins from Hobart). The venues are open 7 days a week and provide unique, world class whisky and gin experiences.
This Hobart based role is full-time, based on a 38-hour work week.
This role will report into our Head of Hospitality and will be responsible for:
· Daily service
· Running whisky tastings and experiences
· Ordering, rostering and venue management
· Licencing and compliance
· Inventory management and monthly stocktake
· Responding to enquiries and bookings
· Event set up and execution
· Hosting VIPs and private clients
· Team training and development
· Strong focus on WHS
Job Summary:
The role will require an energetic, passionate, experienced, and hands-on Venue Manager with a focus on continuing and improving our strong team culture. It would suit someone who understands the importance of creating memorable guest experiences and who is passionate about hospitality, Tasmania and Tasmanian whisky and gin.
You’ll be expected to drive the business, to build, lead and develop your team, maintain a culture that strives for excellence, but have fun along the way. You’ll provide ongoing training, create a strong WHS culture and establish an effective operational rhythm across both venues.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
· A laser focus on delivering high standards and exceptional guest experiences
· A passion for Tasmania and the Tasmanian distilling industry
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a collaborative mindset
· A passion for developing your team
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and WHS
· 2+ years in hospitality management
· To be hands-on and operational, leading from the front and ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like everyday
